And yes, please, let’s have a childhood this summer. I’m pretty much a child in a nineteen year old’s body anyway, so it shouldn’t be that hard.
Hmmm. We should go play outside, like on the swings. And play tag. And go swimming! And eat popsicles and grilled cheese and macaroni with cheese. And go watch movies. Which reminds me as to why I came on here instead of writing my paper about Hitler. We should preorder our tickets to see Harry Potter.
And we’ll watch Disney movies. Michelle will probably join us on that one. Especially Beauty and the Beast. And we’ll go to bed early and wake up early, because that’s what children do. And we’ll draw pictures of the driveway with sidewalk chalk and ride our bikes around.
And we’ll read books and eat Italian ice.
And go to the beach.
And maybe we’ll harangue Mom and Dad into taking all of us on a weekend vacation or something. That would be fun!
I’M SO GLAD YOU’RE STAYING HOME THIS SUMMER! IT’LL BE THE BEST SUMMER EVER!
And since we’re not really children anymore, we can listen to Switchfoot and read older books and watch grown up movies too! OH! AND WE CAN CELEBRATE OUR BIRTHDAYS TOGETHER! Because I won’t be home for yours and you’ll FINALLY be home for mine!
As you already know, we have birthday pie every year. I’m looking forward to it. Finally, my birthday will be super fun because you’ll be around!
OH AND WE HAVE TO CATCH LIGHTNING BUGS. IT’S A DEFINITE MUST.
And maybe we can see if Dad still has the tent and we can camp outside one night! Michelle might join us for that, too!
If not, we can just sleep on the deck in our sleeping bags. Michelle might find that fun. Maybe Mom will make us mozzarella sticks again.
MICHELLE! JOIN US IN HAVING A CHILDHOOD THIS SUMMER!
Oh, and Dad can barbecue and Mom can make her potato salad and macaroni salad and broccoli salad! And we can watch VeggieTales!
And we can stay up all night reading the Babysitter’s Club like I did that one summer. It’s really really nice when it hits six o’clock. I usually look out the window and then go downstairs to eat yogurt.
